HCSS March 2026 Program: "The Art of Growing Adeniums" with Eddie Novak and Jennifer Peskey

The Art of Growing Adeniums presentation was a great success! Thank you Jennifer & Eddie! We had a fun evening learning about everything from seed starting to shaping and repotting for strong, beautiful plants. Lots of great tips, and an all-around enjoyable meeting. Please excuse the quality of this recording 😅 — no tripod, a bit of chaos, and plenty of background noise and unnecessary item moving around. But hey, that just means it was real! This presentation was a blast to put together, even with all the improvising that went into it. Sometimes you just have to roll with it and have fun.

HCSS February 2026 Program: Introduction to Plant Photography by Irwin Lightstone from the North Texas Cactus & Succulent Society

What a special evening for our cactus club! We were incredibly honored to host a world-renowned photographer in the cactus and succulent community, Irwin Lightstone, whose images most of us have admired for years. His presentation was inspiring and full of practical tips on capturing plants — from lighting and composition to seeing the details others might miss.
